Yokohama Rapid Railway (横浜高速鉄道) or Yokohama Minatomirai Railway is a third sector private railway company as joint company supported by Yokohama city government and Tokyu Corporation. Initially, it just has ownership of underground section Minatomirai Line (横浜みなとみらい線 | MM) from Yokohama to Motomachi-chukagai, but later in August 1997 also taken ownership of Kodomonokuni Line (こどもの国線 | KD) from Tokyu Corporation. Although the company owns those lines, all crews and railway systems used on them still using resources from Tokyu.
